Alternatives to Fathom

Fathom alternatives, by the reason you are switching

Fathom’s free plan records and transcribes without limit, and for anybody who wants every call recorded that is hard to beat. The usual reasons to look elsewhere are where the data is kept, since Fathom says it is all stored in the United States; a Linux computer, which its help centre lists as not supported; wanting answers while the call is still going; or not wanting a recording kept at all.

For storage in Europe, Jamie keeps meetings there, and Troopa lets an organisation choose the UK, the EU or the US. For Linux, Troopa has an app for Ubuntu. For answers during the call, Fireflies replies out loud and Troopa answers on a screen you present. For no recording, Troopa, Granola and Jamie keep the words and not the audio.

Last checked 6 October 2026. We make Troopa, so read what we say about it with that in mind: everything we say about the others links to their own pages, as they stood that day. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it and say when.
